To see this in perspective, South East Asia, with a population of under 700 Mn sits at $27 Trillion, while  North America, with a population of under 385 Mn, sits at $145.90 Trillion. As per S&P, India is poised to become the world’s third largest economy by FY 2030-2031. Interestingly, in the words of Mr. Shobhit Agarwal, MD & CEO, Anarock, “India has total Commercial Office space of 750M Sq.ft., while Manhattan alone has over 600M Sq.Ft. As India grows at 5-7%, Commercial Real Estate is bound to grow immensely.” With a population of 1.4 billion, India is clearly GROSSLY UNDERBUILT. As the nation leaps towards a $7 trillion economy by 2030, the real estate sector is expected to grow manifold, with record development activity across ALL ASSET CLASSES. TREF-India will bring together key stakeholders from India’s real estate industry for an intensive two days of dialogue, discussions, and networking. Pranay Sinha is a distinguished leader in Asia’s retail and mixed-use development sector, renowned for transforming modern retail in India. As the Founder and CEO of Starcentres, acquired in 2019, he has spearheaded the establishment of popular shopping centers that attract 24 million shoppers and host over 250 retail, F&B, and entertainment brands. His extensive expertise encompasses the entire real estate life cycle, including investment, capital planning, design, development, leasing, and asset management. Previously, as President & CEO of Select Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. from 2004 to 2008, Pranay led the development of Select Citywalk, a 1.4 million sq. ft. mixed-use project in New Delhi, drawing over 18 million visitors annually and housing over 200 global tenants. This landmark project paved the way for India’s first retail-focused REIT, Select Nexus REIT.  An Architect from the prestigious SPA, New Delhi, Pranay has significantly contributed to more than 150 projects across various asset classes throughout his 28-year career. He actively engages with industry organizations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), fostering innovation and growth in the sector.
